Bisbee

very fun for a day trip, especially with kids – great tour of the copper mines that kids love – also smallish but fun wild west show – adults will like the quaintness, quiet, antique stores and scenery. :)

I visited Big Matt here when his parents lived here in the 90s. We drove to Nogales and had lunch and that was the first time I’d ever been in a foreign country. It lasted all of an hour and half.

I went to Bisbee again this weekend with my husband. It’s a great little town about an hour and a half south of Tucson. If you’re going, get there early or call ahead to make a reservation to take the Queen Mine tour. I keep forgetting and still haven’t gotten to go on the tour. Most of the town is artist shops. The Daily Diner on the East end of town has the best pie. I had Rhubarb pie and it was delicious, not too sweet. My husband had apple pie and it’s the second best he’s ever had, after the Polish lady he lived next to growing up. I’m working on posting the photos I took this weekend to Flickr.
