Panama Canal

I have traversed the Panama Canal 6 times on 2 different classes of cruise ships. It is hot, it is steamy but it is amazing. Read something about the history, the construction and you too will be fascinated. Watch the locks, watch other ships go through.
Can’t say enough about it… go, if you can.

Went through (once each way) when I was in the Navy. Muddy water, hot & humid, mosquitoes all over. Not worth seeing again.

Went through the canal on our honeymoon cruise. It was the highlight of the trip, totally amazing that the canal operates pretty much as designed!

Amazing the work that went into building the Panama Canal. There wasn’t much to do as our ship passed through it, but I gave pause to appreciate the engineering mastery that must have went into completing such an ambitious project.

Don’t plan on going there again, but is nice to say that I’ve been.

I was lucky to see two giant ships pass at the same time,... Ha, ha, ha… Great experience.

...engineering at it’s most powerful. A must see if you are in the country. And do go fishing on the canal as well. My family would go about once a month, and… this is no fish tail… we were often likely to catch around 60 fish if the six of us fished from 5am to 6pm.
