Roger Williams Park Zoo

Yay it is so fun AnimalZzz!!

Besides that, the Park around it is gorgeous. So even if you don’t want to go to the zoo, the park is amazing.

Maybe I’m biased because I used to volunteer there but it’s a great zoo, really clean and well kept. They have a lot of interesting educational specials, camps, and events for kids of all ages. They sometimes have a seasonal life size robotic dinosaur exhibit which costs a little more then regular entry to zoo but is fun if you’re with kids or someone who just loves dinosaurs. The park surrounding the zoo is particularly beautiful with its carousel, band stand, museum, Japanese Garden, Temple of Music, paddle boats and plenty of wildlife to look at.

While it’s not a huge zoo, it is reasonably priced and has a great variety of animals. Their polar bear, snow leopard, elephant, and giraffe exhibits are particularly good. And their groundhog exhibit is SO much fun!!

They are sadly lacking in monkeys. Lots of lemurs, but not much else in the monkey field.

I’ve been there many times, the park itself is nice, and the zoo has some very interesting animals. Over the years it’s been through some changes, and improvements. Nice place to visit especially if you have children.

I’ve been to quite a few zoos in the past and this one just wasn’t impressive at all. They were missing some of their animals, the “dinosaur exhibit” wasn’t included in the price, and the food offerings were mediocre.
