Atlantis

the aquariums and beaches are the best!

A while back, I saw a commercial on TV about the resort. It looked very beautiful – exactly how I would imagine a resort of that name to look like.

There used to be a place near where I live called Marine Life (until Hurricane Katrina took it away). I’d been there before to play with the dolphins that had lived there. When Katrina came, it cast them out to sea. But they were all found together…safe and sound. Well, now they have been moved to Atlantis. So that’s an interesting tidbit for those who go to visit or have visited recently.

I had a wonderful time here. Even though I didn’t stay at the Atlantis resort, I spent most of my time there. The hotel/resort is beautiful, the beaches are the most beautiful in the area, and there is so much to see and do. This is a must see for anyone who loves beaches and wants to have lots to do aside from that.

Very pretty resort/hotel destination-type place, but some of the dining establishments were sub-par and there didn’t seem to be a terrible amount of activities. The pools and waterslides were a lot of fun, the grounds were pretty nice but not extrordinary, and aquatic life was mesmerizing. I liked taking quiet walks in the warm nights when the grounds were deserted. My favorite part of the trip, however, was leaving the “Paradise Island” and touring the real island city of Nassau. While the hotel had all the amenities, I just don’t find this sort of Disney-fied reality to be the sort of place I want to spend all of my time.

...while it was being built/developed. Not quite like anything else but rather surreal. Not nature at it’s finest by any means. Just interesting & different.

This is what lured me to Paradise Island: A lagoon filled with sharks and eels with a inner tube (kinda like a slide) going through the middle, and you yes YOU take the plunge and become submerged amongst some of the deadliest creatures on earth. My sentiments concerning this activity: TOO FREAKIN COOL!!!!

i was here a few months ago. i had a great time, my room had an excellent view, the food, drinks everything was great.

Atlantis was wonderful. It is an enormous, sprawling paradise.

BEAUTIFUL Hotel!! Many Many amenities. There is a casino, many restaurants, many upscale stores, a comedy club all in the hotel at the Atlantis. On Hotel grounds, there is an aqaurium, a huge pool, a few water slides and gorgeous views of the blue/green water. The only downfall is if you cross the lake to go to town for some local food/shopping, the locals attack you with stuff they’re selling, just ignore them!
