A review of this place: Not worth it

We haved lived here for over a year and end up going some place else to do anything. Dirty town, apparently no codes, houses/yards look bad.

Shopping is so-so. Housing is terrible and the price of stuff, you feel like you are getting ripped off everytime you shop for the littlest thing.

Not a nice place to visit or live.

Close to Fruita...

The only positive thing I have to say about Grand Junction is that it’s close to Fruita. Other than that, drive on through.

Grand Junction sucks

I lived here for over a year, there is virtually nothing to do and the only “culture” they have is trashy redneck block parties. There are a few pretty outdoorsy places nearby, but the actual town is ugly and podunky.

It is very cute.

If you go visit the Colorado National Monument, Dinosaur Museum, and all the shops on main street. There is a cool rock shop there if you are into that.

I grew up here

...and though it’s a small town, it has charm of its own to experience in addition to the incredible natural beauty within a day’s drive.

Stroll down Main Street and check out the Art on the Corner project, featuring really interesting sculptures along a quaint, pedestrian-friendly street.

And don’t forget to see Colorado’s answer to the Grand Canyon: The Colorado National Monument is only 15 minutes from downtown. There are many other national parks close by: Arches, Monument Valley, Dinosaur Monument, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Mesa, and the list just keeps going!

It's wild and western

They have a rodeo on Tuesday nights. The cowboys are real and local. When they get thrown off sometimes they take off their shirts to add to the testosterone fest. The big draw is the mesa, beautiful scenery. It’s a national park.
