Guggenheim Museum aka: Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

A wonderful building and some interesting art. Crowds weren’t bad when I went. A tip. Take the lift to the top and walk down.

The Kandinsky’s are fab, but other than that the only piece of art that inspired me was the building itself (albeit I was there in winter 04/05 during the aztec exhibition – not the most exciting stuff). I doubt I’d go back, I’d probably spend twice the amount of time in the MoMA instead.

Hours and hours of wait time for anytime of the year….but way worth every second of the waiting process. I will be a little less inclined to write about museums, but when I come up with more words for a description…I will be back to edit this.

being an artist, this is one of my most favorite and cherished places to go! wonderful design by Frnk Llyod Wright and THE BEST paintings and decor, inside! I coould stay forever…a MAGNIFICENT place :)

From a design point of view, the museum itself is beautiful. The continuing, spiralling walkway up to the sky is very serene and nice. However, sometimes the exhibits themselves are not the best and I highly recommend looking over the website before going here to see exactly what is on display (last time I went it was a show about Armani – not exactly my cup of tea).
