Worth visiting!

As others have said the view is great and the two churches there are beautiful. take some time to see the mummified saint at the one church and the cemetery at the other, it was interesting to see how another culture honors their dead, the experience was very moving.

It's All For the View

Florence is magical all around, but the view from here is spectacular. Though, I also recommend the top of the gardens at Palazzo Pitti. You also get skyline, though you have to pay to get in the palace.

Well worth the trek...

When I lived in Florence, this was one of my favorite places to go, especially when I was homesick or feeling lonely. It is one place I could never get tired of—the view is AMAZING at all times, but especially at sunset. I never realized how big the Duomo actually was, until I saw it from here. I would love to go back…

The top of Florence

I was in Florence for about seven weeks. Out of all the beautiful architecture and rich history, I found that the Piazza De Michelangelo was the place in Florence I kept returning to. Whenever I met someone who hadn’t hiked up there to see the view, I grabbed their arm and dragged them up there. It is worth the hike or drive, but the best way to get up there is to find a nice Italian boy with a Vespa.
