Vigelandsparken aka: Vigeland Sculpture Park

This may sound hard to believe this park created by Gustav Vigeland is one of the greatest collections of art I have ever seen. This man gave up sure international fame for all of history to follow his vision and I am glad he did. It is too bad his name is not mentioned in the same sentence as Da Vinci, Micheleangelo, Rodin, etc. beacuse he is in (if not beyond) their league as a sculptor. And you can see all his pieces in one giant beautiful park. This is still on the top of my list to revisit in all of Europe. At least some of us know of this hidden treasure trove of artistic expression.

its amazing to see what vigeland managed to make. Its free to see as its outside in a park and if I would have to chose between a limited things to do in oslo this would be on the list!

This park is so nice. One of the best parks in Scandinavia.

Vigelandsparken is a huge sculpture park featuring the life cycle of human beings, from babies to the aged… very cool, a bit creepy!
