Silent Rave!

I was here for a silent rave, where everyone danced to their ipods for hours. It was great.

A review of this place: Lots of shops and affordable restaurants

Strand and Barnes and NOble are also nearby. Just like other parks in Manhattan, this place is pet-friendly. This is another good spot for shopping since a lot of shops that sell bargain shoes, clothes, books and electronics are scattered all over the place.

I loved the Vietnamese restaurant (forgot the name).

NYU is nearby, as well as the New York Film Academy.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I loved Union Square! This is a great place to just go and people watch. I sat there for hours last time I was in New York. There is just a great mix of people and culture (well that’s true for any place in NYC). I loved looking at the local art. Awesome place.

Overheard at this place

Went out there on a weekend because I had heard that there were a bunch of break dancers and cool cats that hung about. Ended up meeting some nice folks, including a gentleman by the name of “sunshine” who gave us some tips on hot spots for good hip hop on the weekend.
