Strangely, the applebees there is the best applebees I’ve ever eaten at.

I spent 5 years here in Lauderdale County. Softball was a big part of my life then. I now live 90 miles away from Meridian and have caught up with some of my old elementary school friends who still remember me!

Just about every place has something about it that’s worthwhile, and I’m sure that’s the case for Meridian, MS. I’ve just never discovered what it is.

It’s a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live here. While this will always be my home, there are bigger and better things out there than this small Southern town. This place really needs something to offer it citizens and some good jobs to keep people there. There are great historic things to do there, IF you can find them actually open i.e – Peavey museum, Dentzel carousel, Temple Theatre. Hometown to Jimmy Rogers, Hartley Peavey, Sela Ward, and Elliott Street

Has a unique charm all its own.

I’ve lived here and there’s not much to do or see.

I worked for a guy that was from here, and he was killed here in Mobile earlier this year; I didn’t get to go to the funeral, and want to go there and visit the grave where he is buried; Actually he is buried outside of Meridian in a place called Portersville,Miss, but I think it would be a nice trip.
