I would live here if I could. My only complaint is that I wish it were larger.

over 6 years agoA medical museum of ancient past. My friends lived around the corner from the Mutter Museum..my favorite attraction is the drawers that contain “objects people have swallowed” “things in formaldehyde” and “brains in order of size small to large”.
Check out some skeletons and surgical objects used in the past..this will make you thank god for modern technology.
over 6 years agothen this is the place to go! I’ve only been once when I was in high school, but I want to go back again as I am into all the medical curiosity stuff. Not for the faint of heart, as there are some pretty graphic exhibits (babies preserved in jars and the like). Check out the wall of skulls! Creepy!
over 6 years agoI went here with my boyfriend and I’m not sure which was better, seeing all the medical oddities, or seeing him squirm. Personally, I liked the collection of skulls. Definitely worth trying to find a parking spot for!
over 6 years agoThis museum is so cool! If you are into viewing bizarre yet slightly grotesque things such as hundreds of things extricated from people’s stomachs or deformed babies pickled and on display in glass jars. This is definately not the place for the squeamish. You are not allowed to take pictures of the exhibits, but you can purchase postcards of various displays in the gift shop.

over 6 years agoA medical University in the 1800’s…..ewww! Of course I have morbid fascination and I found it really interesting!
over 6 years agoThis mueseum is a lot of fun! Medical oddities, conjoined twins, a display of things that have been removed from peoples stomachs.. etc. It’s really fascinating stuff!
