Antigonish

The best person I have met in the past 4 years is moving to go to STFX and I would love to go visit her there. She is an amazing artist and is going to do great things and I want to be there

This place WAS my life. I grew up in the ‘Nish, went to STFXU… lived the life and then got outta there. But there’s also that rumor that no one ever REALLY leaves… and I guess it’s true cuz I keep going back, even though my friends are all somewhere else right now. I guess I love my family too.

spent xmas here this year visiting a friend! Cool little town, great people and lots of happy memeories!! Would definatly like to visit in the summer. My only disappointment was the lack of snow, oh until the day i left!!

lovely place to grow up and move away from. Antigonish is a great place to visit any time of year. The beautiful ocean in summer , the leaves in fall, the snow in winter and a spring like you’ve never imagined. Antigonish has everything. a great culture, awesome people, decent nightlife…hmmmmm sometimes….

We stayed at the best B&B I’ve ever known, the Sunflower, in Antigonish. I don’t want to say more, or it’ll be booked up the next time I visit!

HOME!!

I was attending my 3rd Air Cadet camp, it was held on the St.FX campus since our usual base was filled with refugees that year. I didn’t see much of the town, and the camp was great, but that has nothing to do with the town. Can’t say I saw anything remarkable or special or all that different from the rest of NS

Antigonish is the home of St. Francis Xavier University and thanks to the pioneering work of the Rev. Dr. Moses Coady, the Antigonish Movement which plays an important role in community development throughout the world. The Coady International Institute is part of St. FX, which has a distinctive and highly coveted “X” ring that graduates are allowed to wear.
I know lots of people who’ve attended St. FX and I want to visit sometime and maybe even study there someday as it’s an important place for the cooperative movement in Canada as well a centre of social justice, education and community development.
