Before it closed, my son and I spent a week here. It was an amazing experience! We did a simulated space voyage and rode on machines that allowed us to feel weightless.

Well worth the time to go to if you are in Florida or at Disney World. I do have to say though, it has the WORST food I have ever eaten anywhere!!!!and they do not let you bring in any food – I advise you eat before you go!!!

Be sure to try and see a shuttle launch while youre there, especially a night launch. Was one of the best experiences of my life. Highly reccommended

The highlight of any trip to Florida. One of the few places I’ve seen parents running around like excited little kids. Be sure to see an IMAX while you’re there and don’t forget the space ice cream.

Watchig the space shuttle go off is an incredible experience because you can feel it rumble right through your heart, and the ground shakes beneath you as it goes up and slowly disappears into space.

I was lucky enough to be on a business trip to the Cape back in the late 80’s and got to see an early morning Shuttle launch! Its a very interesting place, especially for technologists or space nuts, but it also has a lot of history.

I was fortunate enough to have had a dad who worked for NASA…as a result, I saw a few launches (Apollo program) when I was a very small child. Unfortunately, I was really too young to grasp what I was witnessing (I mainly only remember hating the loud noise the rockets made at lift-off). Luckily, I was able to return to the Cape years later to see a shuttle launch. Even though we were a mile away from the launch pad, it was a sight to behold. Absolutely breathtaking. Such a shame that no one will be able to witness another launch in the near future…

I went to Florida, and Kennedy Space Space Centre, in July 1997. It was my first trip to Florida and we were lucky enough to get tickets to Kennedy and watch the launch of this mission: http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/missions/sts-94/mission-sts-94.html

There are few sites more spectacular and awe inspiring than watching a shuttle launch. A night shuttle lauch (unfortunately not likely to happen again in the near future) is an especially beautiful site. Watching the lauches of the heavy lift rockets is also quite impressive.
