Gaspe Peninsula

I have heard it is absolutly beautful here. My boyfriend and i are tying to plan a motorcycle road trip up there this summer. Hook them up on a trailor behind the camper and go. I’ll let you all know if it happens we are both starting new jobs so we will see.

The Gaspe is beautiful from Trois-pistoles on out. My visit was during the winter for some backcountry snowboarding and skiing. Not for the faint of heart, as every ascent is accomplished by putting one foot ahead of the other and you are your own sherpa. However, each turn in the untracked snow on Mont Albert and Hogback is worth a thousand steps. The accomodations and food at Gite du Mont Albert are outstanding and very reasonable. They also have an in-house guide to assist with transceivers and other aspects of your adventures.

I would recommend viewing it all on horseback!

You can see whales from the coast line…

and the people are wonderful. If you like seafood, the food is awesome as well.

The North Shore is a lot quieter and extremely beautiful with highways at sea level and mountains above. We found campsites every night but most people booked hotel rooms well in advance.

This thumb of land on the Atlantic coast of Quebec is remote, austere, and beautiful. My wife and I took the 2nd half of our honeymoon here (after spending a week on Nova Scotia), and I look forward to returning someday with the kids.
