Tenerife

These are the two main reasons I would recommend Tenerife. The weather is lovely and for a relaxing time in the sun, cheap and cheerful Tenerife is perfect.

If you can afford it I would go to Gran Canaria of the two but the boat trips/whale spotting and the harbour at Playa de las Americas are lovely. For eating go to Harley’s American Diner

I was down in Tenerife a few weeks ago. In short it’s a beautiful Spanish island just west of North Africa.

The place is great so long as you stay in the right area. I’d recommend staying near the ocean, anywhere past it is on a hill. And I mean a hill. Tenerife’s home to one of Europe’s highest peaks – Mount Tidy – so that should give you an idea of the walking you might end up doing.

Anyhoo, the last time I went was a chill out holiday. Sun, beer, some photography, dolphins & whales in their natural environment, more sun, and more beer. Good times!

had the best holiday ever. especially drinks and frisbee on the beach, then to the foam party and finished it off with linekars. cant beat it.

And I agree with people who say Canary Islands is a place to visit. Here we have a great variety so after 10 years exploring Tenerife there are many places I don’t know yet!

I think Tenerife is not the most worth-a-visit island (maybe because it’s my island) but La Palma is. La Palma island is the most beautiful of all Canary Islands!

Anyway, all the islands worth a visit, even for people from other islands like me!

We went to Tenerife for windsurfing many times during my teens. I am planning to go back there for some great windsurfing again.

Worth going but woulcnt go back , theres too many English here and it doesnt feel like another country apart from the weather .But theres plenty of bars ,clubs and resteraunts .
Went to the zoo and was nearly sick this place is sad ,lions with 10 feet of land to move round and monkeys living in bare cages is horrible

I have been to Las Americas twice. It once again caters for the typical Brit in most ways, satellite TV’s, British menus, clubs, etc.
There is however the option to go out and see the real tenerife, there are tours available either arranged through your hotel, but I chose to go with a guy offering tours on the street. Cheaper and interesting.
It was cheap to eat and drink there. I’d probably not go again as I’ve been twice, but it was nice.

Really nice place! Hot, sunnt weather, with nice beaches!
