Delphi

This place is amazing but if you want to walk to the top make sure you have good shoes and plenty of water, it gets very hot up there. The views are amazing, places to eat are great. Try the cheese of the nearby village its beautiful.

Though it’s expensive as hell!

It was not hard at all to see why Delphi was revered as a very sacred site. If I was a spiritual person, I would say something like “I felt very close to God” there. But I’m not, so I’ll just say it was breathtaking. :)

Come on, it’s the omphalos (bellybutton) of the world! What’s not to love?

DEFINITELY worth visiting!

The food I ate in Delphi will be ingrained in my memory forever. And the ruins were amazing. Definately worth going off the beaten path for some interesting history and awesome food.

I loooved Delphi! It’s so amazing to step on the same paths that millions of people have stepped by in hopes of getting a prediciton from the god Apollo itself. It is a must in my opinion if you have the time to visit the Peloponese. Also the collection in the museum is great. This picture is the crown jewel of the museum. It is one of the only pieces made of bronze still preserved. (They used to recycle it to make new pieces) You can even see the eyelashes made of bronze. C’est magnifique!hehe

Delphi is one of my favorite places in Greece. Every inch of it has an absolutely amazing view of the mountains, the bay of Itea and miles upon miles of olive groves. It’s gorgeous, the archaeological site is huge and fantastic, and I love it there.

If you visit, the Iniohos restaurant has a lovely house wine and a friendly pianist who does a beautiful rendition of Mendelssohn’s violin concert in E minor.
