Why I recommend this place to visitors

My favorite place is the Wailey House.

It’s spooky and interesting. A lot of rumors and people say that they built their house on a graveyard and hanging grounds, so their house is haunted …

BOO!!

Great food

This small little spot in San Diego is a great way to spend a sunday afternoon. There is alot of cool little stores and great restaurants that fill the street. This place has the best quasadillas. If you do go on a sunday get there around 11 to get the free parking in the parking lot behind the main street cause this is the time the church goers are leaving and you have a better chance at getting a free spot.

A tip I have about this place

The best place to eat in the Old Town area is NOT in the touristy enclosure or just bordering it, but instead Perry’s Grill, a few blocks away, kitty corner from the bus/train station. (If you’re a pedestrian, please be careful … from experience, it’s a hard area to cross the street.) Perry’s is at 4620 Pacific Highway, all the locals know it’s got solid, cheap, filling food like chorizo. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet the guy from Adam-12. Regulars would know what I mean.

seems like a tourist trap

Did I miss the real Old Town, or what? It seemed to just be a strip of restaurants and cheesy tourist traps filled to the brim with keychains and shot glasses. Was there more lurking around some unknown bend?? I thought it was a historical area!

Good Mexican Food

The best restaurant in this area is the big one in the courtyard.
