I work there, so I forget what the cool factors are
I like the trails because if you are having a tough day, nature helps chill you out.

Very nice to walk across the courtyard at lunch next to fountains, creeks, waterfalls, just plain gorgeous landscaping. Peaceful and energizing.

Very cool and much bigger than I thought. I went there for school and to try and get a job. They have a large shuttle system to cart people around. All in all I was impressed.

Being at the headquarters of Microsoft is definitely nice. Especially the creative design and research people are good people to hang out with.

I could debate the pros and cons of working at MS until Windows 3.1 ported Google Earth, but I can definitely say that there’s no centrally located “shrine” at Microsoft that will wow anybody… unlike the Mac shrine in Cupertino.
But I will say that between visiting Redmond, WA and Cupertino, CA, I would chose the former in a nanosecond… (which is kinda saying a lot, actually.)

Little-known fact: anyone can drive around and through the Microsoft campus. It makes most university campuses look puny by comparison.
