Kölner Dom aka: Cologne Cathedral

It’s just near Koln railway station. You can stop by Koln for an hour and visit this cathedral.

it’s right beside the train station, so stop by for some 30 min on your train ride and admire it

With my gracious host, I climbed the 509 steps to the top of the Cologne Cathedral, once the tallest building in the world. Exhausting for one as out of shape as me, but totally worth it.

The dome is the tallest gothic church in Germany, definitely worth a visit while you’re around. You also can’t miss it if you arrive by train, as it’s directly next to the main train station.
