A review of this place: Worse city in California
I had to endure this place for over 3 years while I was stationed at Beale. Nothing there but suck.

I grew up there. I moved there when I was three and away when I was 16. I have good memories, but wouldn’t want to move back there. I went to Franklin Elementary and Sutter High School.

Not worth visiting!
I grew up here. There’s not much to do. The mall stinks. The movie theatres are crap. Wal-Mart is the biggest attraction. I have a reason to go there, being to visit family. I don’t see why else you would really visit.

Marysville
Worth visiting!
This is where we’ve always wanted to be – right where we are. A beautiful place to be. Why? This is the hub, the central point to everywhere worth visiting in Northern California: A maximum 4 hour drive (most of the time a lot less) in any direction: Reno, Tahoe, Fort Bragg/Mendocino, San Francisco, Napa/Sonoma, Fresno, Big Bar, Paradise, Locke, Citus Heights, Historical Old Town Marysville, Grass Valley/Nevada City, Bodega Bay, and much much more.
But what’s more amazing, is that when a Yuba Citi-zen looks to the horizon, he or she can see the cradle of civilization: according to the Maidu Tribe, the very first man and woman were created in the heart of the Sutter Buttes, also called histum yani, or middle mountain. And all souls, when they die, return to the world’s smallest mountain range, and are reunited with their ancestors. The beautiful Sutter Buttes, quite literally the worlds smallest mountain range, are about 20 miles west of Yuba City and have been the symbol of this great land for many many generations.
