La Rochelle

It poured down with rain. Nonetheless it has some interesting cultural highlights – obviously the port is the heart of the tourist focus. I didn’t take to it straightaway, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back, or spend more than a day there but if you’re in the Charente, you should take a look.

So beautiful. I had the best moules frites of my life in La Rochelle, and other good things too. I would definitely go back for, maybe, ever.

Spent a year in La Rochelle following high school and the place and exposure to its people, culture, and geography began the process of molding me into who I am today.
