North Conway

While in town this weekend, the wife and I caught a performance of “Beauty and the Beast” (the Disney version) by the Mt. Washington Valley Theatre Company. It was a fun show, with particularly good performances by the actors who played Belle, Gaston, and Lefou. I only wish that the acoustics were better (sometimes an actor’s voice would be overwhelmed by the piano or other singers) and that whoever added songs to the movie had written better tunes.

The family has a couple of A-frames here, and we try to get up at least once a summer to hang out by the water, stroll around town, and catch a musical.

Lots of shops and factory outlets – Plus, NH has no sales tax!!

I took the girlfriend here for a weekend retreat and had a blast. It’s a little quiet but there’s plenty to do. Go see Mount Washington, go for a steam train/boat ride, or just relax in a mountain environment.
