YOU MUST buy some of the island rum that has a banana and vanilla floating in it. It is the best rum you’ll ever have in your life, and I don’t even like rum. Please do your self a favor, forget about that baccardi garbage and try this stuff out! your trip will be so much better for it!

St Maarten

Erick and I were on St. Maarten on 2/13 and really enjoyed our time there. We went to the Little Divi Beach resort and soaked up the sun and drank a lot of rum punch. I got my hair braided on the beach…. the view was absolutely breath taking. I would go back to St. Maarten in a heartbeat.

Amazingly Beautiful

Over 30 years ago I went here. My grandmother was a native. I’d like to return and hope it is a beautiful as it was then.

Sint Maarten

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

it was on a Carnival cruise. The water was very nice and there is a free public beach not too far from the dock.

The first time I went to this place

Went here while on a cruise. It was beautiful and I would rather have gone on a trip and stayed an entire week than stay on a cruise ship.

A review of this place: Paradise Defined

I write this somewhat hesitantly…primarily because I’m not really sure I want others to find this incredible island…

Smallest piece of land in the world that is shared by two countries, the French and the Dutch. Little more than a marker lets you know when you’ve crossed in to the other country…but the differences become more obvious once you hit the stores. The French side is clearly more expensive and your dollar will go further on the Dutch side.

Sint Maarten and St. Martin are culinary wonders. The food is truly incredible and plentiful. Try Pizza and Pasta in Maho…Jimbo’s Rock and Blues Cafe on your way to Phillipsburg is incredibly good too.

Princess Juliana airport has grown-up with the new terminal now open and firing on all cylinders. It’s nice…and a lot easier to get through both coming and going.

I don’t even know where to begin with the beaches…they’re all incredible. Love that turquoise water…and it’s warm.

Billed as “the friendly island” we have a timeshare that brings us back every Christmas time and without fail, the promise of friendly locals holds true to form.

If I can find a way, I will move here.

Too crowded. Take a cab and go to the ferry terminal heading to Anguilla, Saba, or St. Barth’s.

Only enjoyable thing was sitting on the beach watching the planes land.
