The Channel Tunnel aka: Chunnel, Eurotunnel

Take the Eurostar first class from London to Paris if you can afford it!

I recommend Eurostar’s first class service.
A good meal with wine while speeding across the French countryside was a great start to a romantic weekend in Paris.

Paris to London – city center to city center in 3 hours, you can’t beat that! I took an early train from Paris and was at London’s Victoria station at 10AM!

Hey, it gets you there fast. I’ve been on the train two or three times, all of which I never noticed when we started. The speed vamps slowly up.

Oh, if you’re a teacher and you’re taking a busfull of people on here ad you just want the whole bus to yourself, say “If you look out those little windows you can see all the fish in the Channel!” Our teacher did this on a school trip years ago and most of the people in the bus rushed out, only to see yellow service lights go zipping by in the blackness of the tunnel.

I travelled on the Eurostar a couple of years ago and it was very, very exciting. Then again, I was 11. :D It’s very quick and handy to bring the car to/back from France though.

I was excited to go. But, well, your train dips down underground before you see the water, then it’s dark, then it emerges again far away from the coast. Nothing special, unless you’re way into trains i guess.
