i was only 9 when i went there but i remember that it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Medina is Mohamad (s) City
he is Our Profet !!!

i went to this holy city after performing umrah in 2002..
this place is beyond comparison.. there is a cool and fresh breeze there all the time which purifies your senses and mind..
would love to spend a whole month in MEDINA..

Madinah is one of the best memories in my life. I went there with someone much loved, and I wish us all the happiness in this world.Amin

In 1256 Medina was threatened by lava flow from the last eruption of Harrat Rahat.

In 1924 Medina, which had been in Ottoman hands for centuries, fell to Ibn Saud, who later became the first King of Saudi Arabia.
       

In January of 623 Muhammad dispatched Obeida, son of Harith to lead another raiding party against a caravan passing along the Syria-to-Mecca trade route. As the caravan (led by Abu Sufyan) was watering in the valley of Rabigh Muhammad’s men fired volleys of arrows from a distance but did not inflict any damage. Obeida was given the honor of “he who shot the first arrow for Islam” as Abu Sufyan altered course to flee the highwaymen. In retaliation for this attack Abu Sufyan requested an armed force from Mecca who came and engaged in the Battle of Badr.

Throughout the winter and spring of 623 other raiding parties were sent by Muhammad from Medina but, while troublesome, were not particularly effective or destructive.
       

the most PEACEFUL place in the entire world without a doubt. when you’re there, you’ll know what i mean! this place softens the hardest heart i’m sure, and its rich with islamic history, i could not believe i was there after everything we learnt in school and madrassah.

Medina, for sure, is a city of love. It is so calm and peaceful!

I arrived in town early in the morning, feeling the coolest, most refreshing morning breeze upon my face. Sweet images of Medina shall remain imprinted upon my heart and soul till I am no more :-)
