Sagada

You have to go down to the massive cave (Sumaging I believe is the name, it’s the biggest one in Sagada) !!!

Bats will be pooping on you while you crawl down in the dark, makes you feel like Gollum fumbling for his lost ring…

But it sure will be worth it once you’ve reached the cave’s center. This time you’ll feel like you’ve found Narnia.

it was a long bumpy ride going there, and a steep and slippery way back.. but everything in between is just perfect!!! adventure to the next level… worth every sun burn! *glowing skins

the ultimate fun destination when it comes to hard core hiking and spellunking…. beware: there is no such a thing as ‘for your safety and protection’ in here… you only have one life to live…. seize it here!

Well.. the first time I went to Sagada, I was with my girlfriend and a couple of her officemates. Clients of their’s from work had taken us around to see the sights, and hooked us up with a nice lodge-place for real cheap. A thousand plus fetched us three rooms which lodged the six of us (2 per room) overnight. The next day, we went spelunking at a nearby cave. A very long one at that. With underground pools. Our guide offered me a nugget of hash after the tour, which i had purchased from him for 500 pesos. I ate a good pinch of it and definitely got blasted good. :)

SAGADA…....hmmmm…. a worth visiting place!!!! here u can find a true home where u can see many beautiful places uve benn wanting too…and very hospitable people too!!!
u can visit the wonderful caves!!! historic coffins!!! the big falls!!!! and many more beautiful sites of sagada…
a place where u can find yourself relaxing….comfort too with everyone…people are really so kind…
a tip:
prepare yourself to stay there for atleast a month….because ones u go there ull hate to to leave it….

because i want to know what rustic means…

the journey is equally exciting as the destination. we rode a public bus from baguio city. all throughout the trip, ethnic music was being played in the bus. on the way we reached the highest highway in the philippines. we stopped by a local restaurant that serves veal – broth and dried. being in sagada makes one feel like one is in a different time in history. don’t miss the hanging coffins. do not take anything but snaps!

The caving experience was the best. Sumaguing Cave is worth the long trip. The rice terraces, the view, everything’s just lovely!

Sagada is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. It’s been twelve years, but I can’t still forget the falls, the rice terraces, Rocky Valley Inn (haha!), the hanging coffins, and the food! The place became famous after documentary and travel shows featured it. I still prefer Sagada with few tourists. But anyway, it’ll still be beautiful in my mind. :)
