RFK Stadium aka: Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium

It’d be one thing if there was a decent team playing there, but the Nats are practically a startup team. When I visited in June, I was surprised to find that I could LITERALLY spit on the lower deck fans (of which there were few) from one of the walkways. There is absolutely NO reason for me to go back to RFK. There’s not THAT much marijuana smoke lingering from the old HFStivals.

BRING CASH! none of the vendors take credit cards and there are like three atms inthe entire stadium. you will be waiting forever if you don’t visit the atm beforehand.

yes this stadium is still stuck in the ‘70’s.

That said, this is the ugliest and dirtiest park I’ve ever seen. I won’t be back until the new stadium is built.

I’m a native of the area, and was shocked at how filthy this stadium was when I saw the Mets-Nationals in 2005. I saw more rats than nats fans. seriously, they’re everywhere.

RFK stadium is currently the home of DC United (soccer) and the Washington Nationals (major league baseball). It is the former home of the Washington Redskins (major league football). I’d say this place has….well, character. I saw a World Cup Soccer match there.
