Massachusetts Institute of Technology aka: MIT, M.I.T.

I work at MIT. It’s easily the best place I’ve ever worked. People, benefits, and location – terrific.

I went here to take a short class a few weeks ago. The class was alright. I could understand what they were talking about, its just that it was taught froma completely different angle and perspective from what I am used to and it wasnt as useful as I had hoped. Regardless, I went there, and I went as a student. The campus itself is nice. There is one building in particular that I found very interesting (that’s what the picture is of). I think I might go back next year for another class. Hopefully, it will be more in line with what I would hope to learn. They do know what they are talking about, and I really would recommend going, even if you arent a student, just to walk around and see the campus.

I attended MIT and it had an enormous influence on me. I couldn’t recommend a better place academically or personally, at that time. It really was ‘~27 shades of grey’ as the institute had a heart and soul, like any great institution does.
Sadly, I get the sense that MIT has changed. Like much of our world, it appears to have lost that which made it a great and special place. I asked MIT to discuss my dispute with LBS and help me to resolve my circumstance. Regretably, I got the brushoff from an administration that did not care and notably did not attend MIT.

I am going up there to take a class next month. Im looking forward to it, it should be pretty cool.

Worth visiting for fancy architecture.

You should not just be following your father around coz it is worth visiting if you are old enough to be interested. I do want to build the Fab Tree House that students from the MIT designed though.

The view from the top of Green Building AKA 54 is great. You might have to pick some locks but wasn’t that part of the entrance exam ?

I remember when I was there they were having a math competition it was Harvard v. MIT…

I used to work at MIT in Building 9 / 105 Massachusetts Ave. My wife still works there in the same building. Absolutely amazing things go on there.

I doubt anything could cure my irrational crush on MIT, except actually being a student there.
