One of nature's wonders.

I have viewed the falls several times from the train. We’ve stopped an hiked around. It is fantastic and unspoiled.

A tip I have about this place

I took a daytrip from Ft. Lewis to Roslyn one Sunday afternoon and this was one of my stops. If I was to do it over again I’d pack a picnic lunch, hike down to the bottom, and really enjoy the splendor of the falls. If you aren’t planning to hike down it’s a relatively quick stop, so even if you only have a little bit of time try and stop to see this marvelous place.

Born and Raised

Born and raised in sleepy Snoqualmie, Washington. Small town, not much to do but see the falls. If there on one of the few nices days of the year, I suggest taking a hike to the bottom. Not too strenuous, but very pretty and worth the 20 minutes or so. Winter is also a great time to see the falls, during Novemeber when it floods, its amazing to see how much water pours over the falls, and in January when it freezes, the falls are a sight to see!

Oh, and if you can afford it, stay at the Salish!

A tip I have about this place

Get here early in the morning before the crowds show up and make sure you hike to the base of the falls. It is worth the extra effort, your appreciation of the height of the falls doubles from down below.

Gorgeous

I just moved to Washington from New Jersey. I used to hike a lot, so a new friend invited me to go out to the falls and hike it. It’s a pretty short hike, but it’s brutal coming up the trail from the bottom if you aren’t used to hikes. However, despite being sore for 2 days after, I can say that hiking to the bottom was absolutely worth it. Breathtaking, almost spiritual. There is an observation deck at the start of the trail that also gives a beautiful view, and you can see all the people who went to the bottom. Pictures NEVER do this place justice.

Snoqualmie Falls

Nice day trip from Seattle. The “Twin Peaks” opening credits do make it look bigger than it really is, I think. Beautiful falls regardless. Enjoy!

Awesome power

The only downside is that the trail from the top down is very steep.

beautiful 300 foot waterfall

in a beautiful area of our State. Fancy lodge and spa in the area which I wouldn’t mind visiting one day. The steam train ride is great!
