Long Beach Island

I use to go to the beach with my family here every single summer until the age of 16. This place is like home for me. I love everything about the island. I like that it is only three blocks wide in some places, enabling you to see the bay from the ocean. You really feel connected to the sea. The surf is great. Of particular interest are Barnegat Lighthouse, and the nature preserve at the south end of the island.

I might be a bit biased since I live 15 minutes off the island, but LBI, yea, what a great place! lol

I went with my boyfriend & his mom a couple years back. It was an awesome day.

I remember Long Beach island long before the mansions went up..It was a relaxing shore community..I remember going to the trampolines in Surf City..I haven’t been back after we sold the house on LoveLadies..from what I understand it was bulldozed.

I remember sleeping in the shorehouse ..it was right near the water..and I would feel the mist of the ocean coming in the window and hear the ocean noise at night..I also have memories of collecting shells..and taking the metal detector to find bottlecaps..

LBI IS THE BEST PLACE ON THE PLANET.NO JOKE.
IT IS HEAVEN ON EARTH.

Have had a home here for years. Nice place for families. Beaches are clean.

barnegate lighthouse.. fantasy island.. clean beaches… bicycle rides… its everything and anything you want in a beach.. fresh salt water taffy… beach side arcards.. ice cream parlors.. SEASIDE is just a short drive away for a fun boardwalk night as welll

I swear by LBI!

I’ve been going to this shore every year for a week with my grandparents since I was 4 or 5. It’s always fun and relaxing; it feels good to be away from it all.
