OZ Cafe is good…just get off at the Elmhurst Ave stop and walk. I don’t exactly know the street and stuff so just ask around.

Every two or so years I have been going to NYC, to visit my wifes’ side of the family and all I hear is how new york is this and that. Well, in a way, it is, if money grows on trees in your backyard and basement, sock drawer, underwear drawer, and where the sun don’t shine. Because, believe me it’s a fun exciting place but, you can spend more money than a little bit.

...but thus is the power of JFK, to be sure. Still, I’ve stayed here with friends, gone to various places for get-togethers and chat and in general think very kindly of the place! Not very deep an assessment, I’ll grant, but there you go. ;-)

I’ve lived here all my live and I absolutely love it!

Grew up there. Great place if you’re not a tourist. And trust me, they can see through you. They know who’s a tourist and who isn’t, and they HATE them. Tourists are rude, and they take pictures of people who stand out, because they think it’ll be something cool to show the kids when they get home. Watch your ass if you’re a tourist there. Otherwise, the friends I knew when I was 10 and left still remember me and treat me like family when I go back to visit, and I haven’t lived there in 8 years. If you can put the cameras away and be decent, it’s great. Good food!

Home for 11+ years

I only passed through here on my way between JFK and manhattan, but it still left an impression on me. The houses seemed quite old but with character, it didn’t seem that rich but then I never went to the bronx. I saw that movie ‘coming to america’ that was set in queens while I was in New York, and it seemed as if nothing had changed in queens in the 20 or so years since it was made.

i’m sick and tired of queens. i’ve lived here all my life and i’m only 15. i go to a pretty bad high school (bryant) the people here are SO rude. i plan to move out of here after high school. i think queens is great for its diversity. you’ll never feel out of place here. i only recommend visiting this place, not living here.
