Have some mates that live here

They like it because it’s close to London, but has enough locally (e.g. shopping) for them not to trek into the big smoke too often.

Well Actually...

I rather like Watford. I find it vibrant after living my first 30 years in a country village. I like it’s proximity to London and the shops seemed massive to me, on my first visit a year ago. I’m used to Bury St Edmunds and Colchester, the former of which is a bit sleepy and the latter is more like a smear between Suffolk sleepiness and London brash and clamour. I love them both, but I like Watford more.

Except the Ring Road. You can keep that – it’s horrific!!

I live here!
I’ve lived in Watford for 13 years and really like it now. When we first moved to Watford we thought it was a bit of a dump, but there’s a lot going for Watford:
  • it has good schools in or nearby
  • it has a good shopping centre
  • an excellent theatre
  • a great park
  • it’s close to London
  • it’s close to the Chiltern countryside
  • it’s close to M1, M25, Heathrow and Luton airports if you want to get away.

WATFORD!!

well it might not actually be worth visiting if you don’t know anyone…but if you live here there’s heaps to do. People who live near Watford (like in ricky and places) come to cassiobury park and to go shopping in the harlequin.
Personally I love living here and would need alot of persuading to move anywhere else.
