Very Rich in History and Information. Great way to see into the past through the lives of our fore fathers. I enjoyed it very much and so did my family.

I recommend visiting the WhiteHouse, but I must caution that the reason I probably liked it so well was that my sister had connections and I got to go on a private tour of the West Wing, which was pretty kickass. I’m not sure I would have thought it as worthwhile based on the standard tour.

Again Parkside Jr. High is a wonderful place to learn. With my 7th Grade class, I visited the White House during the Reagan years.

The ‘grandeur’ of the residence is a bit depressing…took the public tour years ago.

I was a member of the White House Press Corps for ten years. Traveled around the world with Pres. Reagan, Bush & Clinton. Yeah, it was a blast the first few trips on Air Force One, in the motorcades, aboard the helos, but after awhile, it gets old. Same with going to the WH press room each day. A whole lot of waiting around for a few moments of action.
20-somethings in the lower press office tell you when to have lunch, when you can depart for the day, when to move from the press room to the South Lawn or Oval Office. They run your life and most days, ruin it.
It was a good time in the end. I witnessed history and got to go places and see things that most people can’t.
It’s a cool building for the most part.
