I went to the Observatory with my dad back when I was I Kid…I think it was a yr or two before they remodle the place..but I remebered I had fun that day

The most beautiful views I think I’ve ever seen!

It’s been years since I visited, though. Maybe I’ll take my son here next time we’re in socal.

Especially on a clear day, it’s spectacular.

Griffith Park Observatory Offical website say its closed till 2006. I was there 2005 summer, yes it was in under construction.

I haven’t been here since the rennovations were finished, but this was one of my favorite places when I first moved to L.A. I lived near the park, and my husband and I hiked around here a lot. We took most of our visitors there for the first few years. The murals and ceiling art are some of my favorite. They speak of thirties optimism about science and nature and the future of humanity.

I wish they would open it back up.

from the top. I watched an eclipse from the balcony, but I didn’t get to go inside. Currently, it’s under renovation. I hope to go visit when it’s done.

I love the LA skyline… Griffith Observatory is one of the best places to see it. Try to go on a clear day. It’s also amazing at night.
