over 5 years agoA much needed week and a story you can find on 43things. I can’t wait to go back… maybe for good.
over 5 years agomy husband and I have loved Galveston for a long time for its history and beach access. we moved here about 7 months ago, thinking that it would only be for a few years, but we are falling more and more in love with this place each day. there are surprises around every corner, in every building, and in every story from the locals.
over 6 years agoI took maternity photos of one of my best friends!
over 6 years agoThe ferry is a good ride. And the beach is great. I loved the Bishop’s Palace.
over 6 years agoThis is a really fun place for a weekend in the summer. The beaches near the hotels are nice, for Texas. Went horseback riding on the beach, jet skiing, and got shot 200 feet into the air in a bungie slingshot thing.
Colonel Bubby’s is one of my favorite stores I’ve ever been in. Lots of military surplus from all over the world.
I’d like to go back some day and stay at the Galvez Hotel. I’ve heard interesting stories about the history of the place.
I’d also like to check out Moody Gardens.
over 6 years agoWell I’ve been to Galveston already twice now. My first time going was kinda boring because we didn’t stay long enough to look around. But the second time I went it was pretty cool when I went to the Moody Gardens. If your in Galveston you should go to these Moody Gardens, they’re really neat. Like I went to the Tropical Forest one, because the Aquarium one was gunna cost me like $60 (because I went with my parents and two sisters) so we just decided in going to the tropical forest one. Well, it was really pretty, because there were like water falls and birds and all kinds of animals, trees and plants and things of that nature. For the whole family it only cost us like $45 dollars to get in. It really does look like a real rain forest and feels like a rain forest too because you really get hot and humid. We went during December, so yea it was kinda cold outside while we were there. But when you go inside the rain forest its waay warmer. To buy your tickets you can buy them in any pyramid. You can also see shows and movies there too. Theres three pyramids you can go to, the Tropical Rain Forest,Aquarium, and the Discovery pyramid. When we went the Discovery pyramid wasn’t showing anything. So yea, I think you should go to the rainforest one, its really neat! Oh, and the tropical rain forest pyramid is the pink pyramid.

We went to Galveston for a friend’s wedding and we had a good time. We saw lots of old friends and my family. I wish we could afford to go back to Texas more often.
