A review of this place: Camping

I went to Ptown to go whale watching for my birthday. We stayed at Dune’s Edge Campground which was really nice and only about 15 – 20 minutes walk to city center. Went Whale watching with Dolphin Fleet, went to Pilgrams Monument (Provincetown was the first stop for the Mayflower before continuing on to Plymouth), walked around the cemetary, did the shops, walked along the beach and in the water – but had not allowed enough time to make it to the light house. There was not enough time to do everything that could be done, and I’d really like to walk all they way out to the tip of the cape so I do expect to go back. It was a wonderful adventure.
For excellent Omeletes go to Governor Bradford and the Post Office Cafe. For dinner – absolutely try the Lobster Pot.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

The sun, beach, places to eat and shop as well as a great place to party are reasons to visit. Along with a small town charm its an incredible place to just run to.

A review of this place: I Can't Wait To Go Back

I have been told to go in the “off season” (supposedly it is completely different) but I have only been there during Summer. The following is my Provincetown summer experience.

P-Town! A Mecca for us gay folk! Provincetown feels like a celebration…not just a “pride” celebration…but a celebration of life! It is so full of positive and welcoming energy! You can’t help but smile and have the time of your life! The town is busy but rather calm by day and parties overflow into the streets by night.

Provincetown is an overall stunning place which literally lies right on the water’s edge. (Even if you visit in the summer…you are going to want to bring a light jacket.) Full of wonderful boutiques and independent shops, great food, great drag shows and great people! P-Town is full of love and optimism! Whether you are gay, lesbian, transgendered, questioning or straight…it is definitely a unique and amazing town! A must see.

Oh Provincetown, I’ve known you since I was very small. You are probably mainly responsible for my ability to relate and feel comfortable around gay people. For that alone, Provincetown, you are a very special place… but you are also beautiful, and have the best salt water taffy, portugese bakery, quaint local library, huge stone tower and graveyard, and drag queens of any place I know.

Provincetown.. wow!

I went to Provincetown in mid-June with my parents when we were staying in Boston and we had the time of our life! We hears about this place but we couldn’t imagine it at all. That town is one of a kind. I loved my day there, I saw my share of new things and this town is totally worth visiting.

I’ve only been here once, it was a number of years ago. My wife and I went out whale watching from a boat out of P-town.

What an amazing experience!

P-TOWN...it certainly is gay

I’m a gay, and I went to Provincetown. Even in the dead of winter it was gayer than the Easter Parade. Rainbow flag gay. Judy Garland gay. But that’s fine if it’s your thing. Everyone kept telling me how crazy things got in the summer, that I should come back, and I imagine it could be a lot of fun. There was a great sense of community in the middle of a frigid February and the people were so nice (what few there were). It’s actually a perfect little (P)town, and I imagine summer’s a blast. Even if it is a little too rainbow flag for my taste.
