Blacksburg

Beautiful rural mountain town with smart people, great weather and unmatched outdoor activities. And a lot of orange and maroon. Maybe too much.

Hi! I have lived in Blacksburg for 19 years! I have not appreciated it as much as I have found (by traveling to others) that I should! Growing up in a place forever you kind of take for granted how great it really is. There are great places to get food, great scenery and a good atmosphere. Best places to be: relaxing on the Henderson Lawn, walking the many beautiful trails, or the bars for an interesting time.

Lived in Blacksburg for 3 years while earning my degree at Virginia Tech before going to study abroad. I loved every aspect of the town and the university. Great friends, good times. If you like cajun food, visit Boudreaux’s downtown. I’ve had many good meals there.

I lived here for 5 years while attending Virginia Tech. I loved everything about it. I miss Blacksburg!

Neat college town. I’m not sure that I’d enjoy it as much now that I am older.
