Ice Hotel
What I imagine this place to be like
cold.
I’m giving up for now. Maybe in the future…
but, honestly… I doubt this will be one of the places I visit in the near future.

Ever since Roger told me about this I’ve wanted to go. Crazy expensive but super super cool (literally).

Worth visiting!
Amazing! It’s an amazing blend of beauty and practicality, I feel so at home there, as home as back in NZ. I’m aspire to designing one of the rooms for the Ice Hotel, thats my dream.
More than worth visiting, every moment was amazing!

Worth visiting!
I spent Christmas of 1999 there. I found the experience to be spiritual, relaxing, romantic, exotic.
Do it. Do it. Do it.
(I can recommend less expensive routes to get there.)
BTW, I was pregnant!

Very nearly went here this month, but circumstances got in the way. It’s open until April … but I’d rather get the full-on winter experience.

Hubby said years ago that this is where he’d like to celebrate his 40th birthday. March 2008 will be here before we know it.

So, round-trip airfare, 2-3 nights lodging plus food, and transportation to/from the Ice Hotel are figured into any future trip half a continent away and two hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle.
-A round trip DFW/Kiruna ticket on US Airways and SAS comes down to $5,962.
-The dollar converted price for a night at the Ice Hotel in a non-suite room comes down to about $356 per night. Three nights equivocates to $1068.
-Three meals a day and beverages at the Ice Bar I couldn’t guess at, but I’d assume at least $240, assuming the meals are about $20 apiece.
-Travel to/from Ice Hotel comes in at 110 SEK, or $13.96 one-way, so about $28 for transportation.
Grand total comes in at roughly $7298 per person. Multiply that by two and you’ll get how much I wish I could spend on my girlfriend and myself.

Check out their website at www.icehotel.com. Yeah, I know there’s one in Canada, but that’s not nearly as exciting.
