Golden

...because of the golden river of Coors beer flowing out of this place?

A cute little town with friendly people and an awesome downtown area. Not far out from Denver if you feel like big city life.

I have been living here for 3 years going to college at the Colorado School of Mines, and I think Golden is wonderful. It’s a small town atmosphere where they hold events for the entire town to attend, but it’s still right next to Denver, so you also get the advantages of the big city! The best part of it is you don’t actually see Denver, it’s blocked off by two mountains (Golden is surrounded by small mountains), so it doesn’t feel like you’re part of the big city, you’re just in a small town. And fall is beautiful when all of the leaves start changing colors!!

It’s changed a lot in the last 30 years, but what place along the Front Range hasn’t? I attended 6th through 12th grade here, before heading up 93 to Boulder for college.

And some good friends of mine; spent a week in Golden back in 2001 and saw Trey Anastasio at Red Rocks. Fun place, great venue, good fun all around.
