Why I want to go to this place

because Sam saw the advert, Kids go free this year (it’s the anniversary, 15 years I think) and Speedy used to live there (paris not Disneyland, that would just be weird), so to a 5 year old it makes perfect sense that we go.

I have to say I am thinking he may be right, I have never been and that seems a bit silly as realistically it’s just a couple of hours away.

Plus I bloody love rollercoasters.

A tip I have about this place

Don’t go especially for this. If you’re in Paris, do go and experience it. You only need stay one night, two days.
I prefer this DL to the one in Orlando, ‘cos it satisfies the kids without being exhausting. I’m sure the queues are smaller too.

A tip I have about this place

this is a very small park, you are able to do the whole thing in a day or two. It was nice but I prefer Orlando

I got up at 5am to get ready and be at school by 6:15. We left school just before 6:30am.
We stopped off at the services somewhere.. dont remember where.
We got on the eurotunnel at idk what time.. It was really weird driving onto the train thing o.o
I had various amusing videos.
Anyway.. back to disneyland trip.. One of the first things i said was ‘You know what, yeah? France looks like exactly the same as england.. ’ But we drove of the wrong side of the road of course.
When we stopped off at the french services it was like woah.. o.o ‘bonjour, merci, au’revoir’ w/e w/e We bought a sandwich :)
Idk what time we got the hotel. It was most likely to be about 3ish. That’s 9 hours travelling or something silly like that. We got checked into hotel cheyenne. We were in rooms of 3 people. A double bed and bunks. We had to leave shortly after we got to the rooms for our first lecture. The parc & where the lecture was was about a 15 minutes walk away. Our feet started to hurt by the end of the trip.. trust. The first lecture was resistant materials related, it was all about how they designed all the rides and stuff. After the 45 minute lecture we went into disneyland village for some food. There was 3 parts to disney, the village the studie and the parc. The village is mostly shops and food outlets. We went to this new york thing and got a baguette each. Browsed in a few shops and walked back to the hotel. We just all chilled in our rooms. Went to sleep at half 12 maybe.
Was up early the next day for breakfast. Didn’t think much of it, it was just waffles, croissants, cereal and stuff.. I did steal some jam and sugar though :D Good times. We spent all day in the parks! First we were in the main park. The first ride we got on was the buzz lightyear lazer shooting ride. I was proud of my score :) There was like no queues for any of the rides you just walked straight on! So we went on again.. and again.. we must have gone on that ride about 7 times the whole time we were there… By the 7th time we’d all got to level 4 :) That’s about 100k points. Legends. The next ride we tried was space mountain.. was great!! I got to ride right at the front! That meant i got the full force of the wind and steam in my face but who cares! Yayyy.. I think we rode it 5 times. We went on disney’s haunted house type ride.. It was a bit rubbish! My phobia is things jumping out at me and that didn’t happen once.. :D We rode the indiana jones roller coaster twice in a row, the guy was like ‘again?’ we were like OKAY :D 0 queues mate.
We moved to the disney studios and had lunch.. Chicken burger :) We then went on the studio tour ride. They do all these cool effects with fire and a tidal wave, they release like 94-295135-91 litres of water or something. Pretty cool. Long ride though..
After that we went on the Rockin’ rollercoaster avec aerosmith twice in a row.. I BOUGHT SOME MULTICOLOURED DRUMSTICKS. The second time we went on it i was right at the front! tres supercool. Yeah, i have thrills. We caught the last bit of the disney parade :) Got our pictures taken with mickey.. We re-grouped to decide whether to stay in the studios or go back to the park.. most of us went back to the park. We rode big thunder mountain it wasn’t bad.. We also went on something called obiter.. You sit in little rockets and go up and down.. except me and josie couldn’t go up and down!!! I was pressng the lever and we wouldn’t move!!
Had a lecture about food tech.. NOT MY SUBJECT.
I think we went to the village after that and had a mcdonalds for tea.. lawl. I so wanted to order a mc’poulet sandwich. But I settled for chicken nuggets. Went back to the hotel to have a sleep.. Everyone worked out that you could call eachother’s rooms.. Funny times..
Got up at half 6 to get down for breakfasttt. Then we found out my textiles lecture was cancelled because it was so windy [the lectures were in a huge tent] Extra packing time.. We went to the park for only 45 minutes. Nothing was open hardly. We went on the buzz lightyear ride again haahha. We watched the disney princesses parade! Yay! Eloise and I were well excited. We also ate some pretty good waffles with LOADS of chocolate sauce. We were going to be late back so we all had to leg it. Got back on the coach.. it was soooo windy.. The coach was swerving across the road. We stopped at the services for lunch, we bought loads of crap :) All the ferries were cancelled due to the wind, that meant all the traffic was going onto the eurotunnel the queue for the lorries when back literally miles o.o We were 2 hours late getting on to the eurotunnel. Everyone had a rave in the bus.
Got back to school about 9:50 and went home, got a battered sausage and showed the parentage the photos.

The last time I went to this place

well i went here in 2000 with my ex hubby and 3 kids who were then 3, 4 and 6 , and i am taking them again thjis yr ( on my own) and they are 11, 12 and 14. so its gonna be so weird. a little nervous that im going on my own, i did ask me mum but she felt the traveliing would be too long, cos were going by coach, i know the train is faster but i dont drive and it just seems less hassle this way( if more pricey and lengthy) anyway, when we went b4 we stayed at hotel cheyenne and mother in law came too, this time ive booked us for the explorers hotel which looks good as it has swimming pool for kids too, and we are going for 5 days this time, i thought well, we have had a tough couple of yrs so kids and me (!) lol deserve this break we really do… , cant boom meal tickets in advance as explorers hotel not a disney 9r) hotel after looking at all sdmall print but I think we will be fine, i keep worrying if i run out of money so will have to make sure i got plenty back up, i know from last time how pricey stuff is on the parks, and of course only 1 of my 3 kids is classed as a child, the other 2 are adults….i think this sucks a bit tbh wwel when ure in my position it seems weird to think of ya just turned 12 yr old daughter as adult prices… anyway cant wait so roll on July yaya a weekk of fun fun fun and no washing up!!!

A review of this place

Great place to go even if you don’t speak French. Most (if not all) of the staff speak English. Which was great since my French isn’t exactly great.
Actually I dont think I heard anyone speak French the whole time I was there.
