Bath

Bath is so lovely. Just a beautiful, beautiful, smaller town. It is especially enchanting at night. If you hear the church bells ringing, go knock on the tower door and they might let you pull them yourself!

I was there for only 4 months but it was enough to know that I would love to return there. A beautiful city, and lovely people. I was living in Lyncombe Hill, past the train station and working for Myles at a local Irish pub called Flan O’Briens.

History is alive here!

I found a pretty spot by the river, and watched nuns behind their church bring dozens of stray cats food on greasy paper plates. Saw that one of the nuns had a bonzai at the top of the outdoor spiral staircase balcony. Watched the brown water roll by, white-edged. Noticed a boat tied under the bridge, with eyes and a mustache painted onto its prow. Found a bench, sat down, and wrote in the light rain. Good day.

If you’ve ever drooled at the scene in Diagon Alley from the first Harry Potter movie or if you’ve just always wanted to step back in time then Bath’s high street with its narrow side-alleys and myriad old shops is the place for you! Don’t miss it!

Do not go to the travellodge in the centre! its very very noisy! thouigh convenient for everything

I love Bath, It’s a amazing place!!

Bath is a wonderful city, would recommend spending a day just wondering round. Places to visit are, of course, the Roman Baths, the Abby and if you feeling Hungry Sally Lunn’s resturant. Absolutly great!

The city itself isn’t too bad, quite cultural, but the suburb of Twerton is home to the city’s evil football team.
