A review of this place

I had an awesome time in Bath, there’s was loads to see and it was also funny because due to a local scheme there were painted model pigs everywhere, each sponsered, designed and painted by 3 different groups, and they all had terrible pun names. The historical things were great, especially the georgian house and there was a nice atmosphere all through the city =]

Quaint little town

Did a weekend trip up to Bath, what a quaint little town, so lovely just to walk about. Had the best scones in the cafe at the Jane Austen museum of all places!

How this place changed my life

My trip to England, specifically my time in Bath, was the closest I’ve come to pure bliss. For the first time in my life, I only had to think of my own needs and desires. I could do things I loved, eat what I enjoyed, and talk to so many kinds of people. All decisions were in my hands, and for the first time in my life, it didn’t scare me to have so much control. I returned home with so much more confidence and peace with myself and my life. I even mysteriously got over my phobia of crickets—no idea why unless it was just that overpowering feeling that I could handle anything that came into my way. I cry just looking at the pics. I have to return at least once more before I die.

I´ll always remember the violin player in front of the abby by moonlight, children chasing pidgeons in the same plaza in the daytime, a woman telling about her recently passed husband and pointing out where he used to play on the plaza, walking in the footsteps of Jane Austin, a Japanese bed and breakfast, and the RoundHouse Pub.

spontanoius day out

well me and my friend consider ourselves spontanious people but we wanted to do somthing really crazy for once, something exciting that was even possably plain stupid so when we got fed up with our plain old trips to paignton and torquay (which at first were fun but did get really boring afta a while) we realised we wanted to go somewhere far i mean there was just no risk in going to somewhere like exeter it was all too easy we wanted to go some where exciting so as we sat in english we hatched a plan , a plan tht really was pushing the limit – bath
A nice place we’d heard alot about. It was perfect all we had to do is not let our parents find out – easy enough? (our mums would kill us if they knew)
so after just 2 days after deciding our rebeloius plan we found ourselves in town at 7:30 in the morning haha we missed the bus then missed the first train because the staff wouldnt let us on unless we had a note from our parents – not a good start …but tht didnt stop us! oh no we found away around it break the jorniey up so first stop exeter then taunton then on to bristol and finnally bath! wen we got there it was amazing we felt free miles away from home (our mums thought we were just going into town!)
it was great! the place was really nice saw all the attarctions like the roman baths and went on an open top bus tour lol some people ask if we got lost or were confused were to go but to us thats just part of the fun! it was a great day and wen we got back to plymouth i felt like i just wanted to go somewhere else! somewhere even further the buzz off doing something so crazy was addictive! it was late and dark by the time i got home when my parents asked how was my day i simply smiled and said “it was alrite, just the same as always” and laughed as i turened around…It was a fantastic day with so many gd memories…i’ll never forget tht saturday…
and whos no’s maybie next time we’ll go even further ;)

NEXT STOP- LONDON BABY!!!

This is simply a lovely ancient city. Its got a touch of tradition in that its structures are not modern but have got this gothic feel. Its got that ancient Roman look. Its also very peaceful too. I just loved every bit of it.

A review of this place

Bath is so lovely. Just a beautiful, beautiful, smaller town. It is especially enchanting at night. If you hear the church bells ringing, go knock on the tower door and they might let you pull them yourself!

I lived there in 1996...

I was there for only 4 months but it was enough to know that I would love to return there. A beautiful city, and lovely people. I was living in Lyncombe Hill, past the train station and working for Myles at a local Irish pub called Flan O’Briens.
