Zakopane

I’m told it is very beautiful and that I can get to tops with minimum physical effort.

I have been spending my summer/winter holidays in Zakopane since I was 2.
Great mountains, incredible views, amazing people, fantastic places to practise snowboarding and skiing…
... a paradise:)

I love the little cottages, I took a carriage ride to the park. You can’t take your car there. Just Lovely.

Wow that is possible. I was there for a weekend for skiing. I mean it was ok, but not comparable with the ski resorts in the alps ;-)

I really enjoyed my visit to Zakopane. Of course, I lived there for a summer with my Grandmother. We hiked the Tatra Mountains, I spent alot of time in town and at neighbouring farms. Skiing is the mainstay of this area, and in the winter time, there are far too many winter sports and events to freely list – ice skating (competition and family) cross-country skiing, open skiing, toboggan, luge, sledding, it’s just a really beautiful and fun atmosphere. It’s also a fairly small town, so it’s easy to navigate by one’s self.

I’ve been to Poland once but I didn’t see too much of the country. What I saw I liked very much though. My cousin that lives in Poland told me how nice Zakopae is. I hope to return so I can see it for myself.

this was my least favorite place in poland. i really, really, really disliked it. then again, i’m not too particular to nature and this didn’t have enough of a urban feel for me.
