Sears Tower

Save your money. I love Chicago, but the Sears Tower is nowhere near the most interesting thing to see. Get outside the downtown area and see all the unique neighborhoods in this town instead.

I visited like ten years ago and the Sears Tower blew my mind. It is an amazing site to see.

I was always a fan of the Bob Newhart show, so I just had to visit Chicago. I saw this in the early 80’s, I think in the winter of 1981.

My boyfriend and I went to Chicago last weekend. We went to the Sears Tower, and while we were up there, 103 stories in the air, a woman from Milwaukee asked him if she could take a picture with him because he has a mohawk. I cracked up, and he thought it was pretty funny, too.

i haven’t been here in over 10 years but I should go back. the last time I went was with 18 people from various european countries. shortly thereafter we crashed a wedding party. the groom loved us, the bride did not.

I went once when I was a kid. I’m curious to go back now that I’m an adult with a fear of heights!

I worked in the Sears Tower (43rd floor) from March 2000 to March 2001. It was quite an experience! For tourists, I recommend the Signature Lounge at the top of the Hancock Building over the Sears Tower, though. The view is better, and instead of spending the money on admission, you can buy an overpriced cocktail.

What an amazing view. Next time I will bring sneakers so I can do all 110 floors…or however many floors there are.
