Lago di Como aka: Lake Como

Lake Como is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world I have ever been. I was there two days and within the first ten minutes was ready to come back for a month! It’s a must see!

More particularly the town of Mandello del Lario on the shores of Lake Como. The home of Moto Guzzi.

My ears were killing me here so if you ever experience problems w altitude make sure u see a doctor before going to get pain meds just in case (but bring your prescription so you don’t have problems bringing meds) or take something so that they won’t hurt ahead of time. I’ve never had problems w that anywhere but I did here for some reason. There’s mosquitos too so bring some ointment just in case. But it’s so worth it. Make sure to eat some cheese since you’re near Switzerland you can taste the difference here from cities further south in Italy. This is a nice part of Italy to relax in.

We stayed here with our sons and they couldn’t get over the view of the lake from the hotel balcony. When we checked in the night before, it was really late and so they didn’t see anything, but when they woke up the next day, they were in awe of the view!
We had dinner at the house of some friend’s and my then 5 year old ate ‘Quail fettucine with truffles’ and he still remembers it.
My only regret was not buying more Venetian glass beads so I need to visit again.

Nice quaint place to get away, though tourism has gone up in this area.

Amazing. You have to see for yourself.

Fabulous Trip! We stayed right along the lake and roamed the countryside via car… wonderful. Isa La Bella was fantastic!

I was only here for a day or two, but I could have stayed a month—or longer. Such a beautiful place.

I really love this place. The lake, the mountains, the little cafes and bars, the typical Italian town squares.
This is definetely my favourite place in Italy!
And the shopping is great too!!!!
Como on a sunny day is la dolce vita!
