Bourbon Street

I was told by several people to visit Bourbon Street and it was a disappoint. The rest of the French Quarter is very nice and I love it but this street is nothing but strip joints, tacky tourist traps, bars and porn shops. While I don’t have a problem with any of it, I could have stayed home to drink, and visit adult establishments so it wasn’t anything great. And it does smell of urine and vomit as many have said. It’s worth a stop just to say you’ve been there or if you’ve never been to a nudie bar or adult shop. But honestly, bars are all over the French Quarter. Bourbon is nothing special. (With the exception of Cafe Beignet and the Jazz Legends Park)

it smells of vomit, liquor, urine and cigarettes. every other building is a strip club. the next street over was nice though. didn’t smell. and very artsy.

Don’t accept a bet to lick the gutter no matter what is on the line…

Went when I was 18. Drank hardcore and had fun at Mardi Gras!!! Dont’ forget these people they are important to our history!! Love New Orleans and Madri Gras!!! Also love all the Voodoo and Hoodoo Stores!! and The City of the DEAD!!! Blessed Be!!!

I went thru ALOT of money fast at an adult establishment on Bourbon Street!

So many drunk people in midday, working people walking around with their martinis in plastic cups while other parts of the city are left in peril.

I’ve been here, but only during Mardi Gras (twice!), and all I remember is just moving with the flow of everyone else. And sticky streets. And double fisting hand grenades because it was hard to get into the window and buy them.

You have to be drunk in order to enjoy bourbon…and if you are, stop by Utopia and get a shot from me

bourbon st. is one of a kind. its really awesome if you’re into having fun. I would recommend it to anyone.
