La Carta De Oaxaca

Amazing Food. Don’t like waiting in line – probably shouldn’t go. Luckily there are several neighboring pubs where you can waste a few minutes while waiting.

One of my two favorite Mexican spots in Seattle. Amazing carne asada tacos, great guacamole, strong margaritas, and a salsa bar. Yes, you always have to wait for a table, but it’s so worth it. The service is always excellent as well…everyone there takes ownership in taking care of the customers.

My husband and I went here for our fifth wedding anniversary last month. The long wait stretched our date into a lovely and longer evening. In the tiny bar we sipped sangria shoulder to shoulder with other would-be diners waiting for their numbers to be called. After we were seated, my husband and I ordered four dishes to share. I loved them all but my favorite was the mole negro; I savored the memory of it’s melting flavor in my mouth for days afterward. Black and white photos of Oaxaca filled the walls around us. The entire experience made me feel as though I were sticking my hand into a little pocket of Oaxaca. I can’t wait to go there again!

Absolutely hands-down best mexican I’ve had in Seattle. I go here a lot, regularly have irresistable cravings for the tacos al pastor. Dang, it’s so good!!!

It’s the best place to eat in Ballard, hands down. Make sure to get the guacamole…

I love this place

Yesterday after a very crappy day…..my friend treated me to dinner at La Carta De Oaxaca. A part of me didn’t want to go since I was coming down with a nasty cold, and just wanting to mope about my place, but they insisted. And I am so glad. It was delicious comfort food. The best Mexican restaurant in Seattle by far. I went home after with a full belly, and a happier mood. We ordered five different amazing entrees. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
