My first trip there was about 2 years ago and I have been back 3 times since (got back 3 weeks ago). There is absolutely no reason to have bad food in Manhattan-whether you spend five dollars or a hundred. I had an orgasmic canoli in little Italy. I love the Met, Central park and just feeling the intense vibe of the whole city. Art, different cultures, great food-It just may be the center of the Universe. LOL

I had no expectations of NYC as I was called last minute to go live there for a bit with my older sister, she actually had to beg me to come over as I was’nt really into the US.
Manhattan completely lives up to its reputation as soon as you get off the plane,it is exactly like all the films, books, etc that centre on it.I was lucky enough to live in a brownstone in the upper west side the whole time, there is an energy in manhattan that I have never found anywhere else.Sydney felt like a sleepy old country town on coming home.

I just love Manhattan, especially at night. It is just so full of life. I think someone mentioned this already but you have to know the subway system since it is better than going by car XD

I went to NY for a chorus concert sophomore year. We won. I saw “The Producers” on Broadway. It wasn’t with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane though. My group got to meet the guy who played the guy who wrote “Springtime for Hitler” because we were like singers and so was he. He was funny. Any chubby. We went to ground zero. It was depressing. That night we got to go to Medieval Times. i<3white knight. The next morning we went shopping. I decided to wear my new Adidas sandals. Nobody let Liz know that when you wear Adidas sandals for the first time, you should put some socks on because it's like walking on knives.
All in all, Adidas Sandals = Thumbs down.
