Table Mountain

Plan your trip up the mountain. The cable car is not operational when strong winds prevail. Depending on season, the queue might be long. But its all worth it, since the view is truly spectacular. And imagine walking around on top of the world! And its flat! Many other well-known people went up there, including the British Royals on their visit of the empire together with our Premier world-renowned Jan Smuts.

I went to the top of Table Mountain in April of 2000. It was beautiful. I hope to go back.

was in 2003 and I saw Dassies up there! Really big and cute!

It’s definitely worth the climb!

I was born underneath that mountain, it was the first mountain I ever climbed, and the first place I laughed!

I have to to the Cape before but just my luck every time I’ve ever wanted to go up to Table Mountain it’s been really windy and the cable carts had to stop.

So the next time I go to the Cape I’m not going to plan my time there. If I feel like going to Table Mountain, I will just go without planning ahead.

My family live just at the foot of Table Mountain. It is stunning (to say the least) especially when the fog rolls over the mountain providing the “table cloth” on the mountain. While Table Mountain is a beautiful place to hike, it is not safe to go and visit by yourself.
