A tip I have about this place

Buy the ticket for the Biodome, the Insectarium, and the Botanical Gardens. See them all. My only complaint is that there were a ton of children and families at the Biodome, but that’s to be expected I suppose. Also, Pauly Shore wasn’t there which dampened my mood slightly.

We rented bikes and rode out to the biodome. We really enjoyed it.

A tip I have about this place

If you want to see some exotic and rare animals, the Biodome is a good place to visit.

I've been 4 times already

And I am heading back there with some friends later this week… Really neat technologically maintained eco-systems… Well done and worth seeing!

The last time I went to this place

I wished I’d had more time when I was there. It was such a beautiful place—the open enclosures allowed the animals to move freely and more naturally. It was relaxing and not at all like a zoo. They take the educational mission very seriously.

Worth doing it!

I opted for the bulk package: biodome, insectarium, olympic tower, stadium and the botanical gardens, all on a student budget (they didn’t check my non-existant ID) and it was worth it. The Biodome had the 4 different ecosystems, none were too exciting but the aquariums were great. I’d never seen large sturgeons swimming naturally, usually they’re fighting on the other end of my fishing line. I went in the middle of the day and there were elementary school field trips happening at the same time. It was like swimming in a guided sea of kids squealing Quebecois, it was like a nightmare. Try going later in the day. The tropic climate was so hot and muggy but they have drinking fountains around every turn.

I don’t remember too much, but I’m pretty sure it was cool. I think they had these little mini tide pool things…
